New to the Bass Guitar, traded for a Stingray
Longtime EBMM guitar player here, but rarely a bass player. In a reassessment of the herd I traded for a essentially brand new Stingray that had been sitting unused in the case for about 2 years (still has plastic on the pickguards).

So the action is a little high but the neck looks good. I need to bring the action down. I usually do all my own setup work on my guitars so the concepts are familiar to me.

I understand that the bridge adjustment on each individual saddle is the method for this, however, I have probably 50 different allen keys yet none of them fit the saddles!

Am I missing something here? What tool do I use to adjust the saddles?

I'll apologize first if it's an obvious answer. I spent some time using the search function and looking at youtube's but couldn't find the answer.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to slappin' da bass!

Have you checked the neck relief? Usually when I pick up a new/used bass and the action seems high, the first thing I do is fix the relief, flatten the neck. All of 'em seem to bow a bit over time while sitting unused. I'd do that first before dicking around with saddle adjustments. Your mileage may vary.

My problem is I need to adjust the saddles. I was just wondering if anyone knew exactly what allen key fit them. For some reason I have a collection of allen keys for all my guitars, yet none of them fit the saddles on the stingray. It seems to be bigger than a 1.5mm and smaller than a 2.0mm and I don't have the US equivalent.

I have already adjusted the neck. I have 2 strings at a good action, one a bit too high and one that has just a little buzzing.

There's several links to setup instructions here that lead to 404 errors on the EBMM webpage. I've done a lot of setups on EBMM guitars so I'm very familiar with those concepts, I've just never done a bass before.
