Have this on the way. Perfect mate for my HH/Piezo Bongo 5. Same color too! Never heard an H Bongo before. What am I getting into?

You've made a good decision. Pretty much a bass that can do any gig, much like your HH Bongo. Having said that, I've found the fretted H models have a slightly more aggressive midrange which is easily dealt with with either picking hand position or with the EQ. Fretless H Bongos are simply some of the best fretless basses in the world. Excellent choice! Enjoy!

I don't want to spoil it by telling you what it will be like compared to your HH Bongo but I'll just say.....You're in for something different! Let us know your reactions. :)

My first recommendation is to put some Cobalt strings on there. Also, don't be afraid to turn down the treble and mids....or the volume control.

Congrats and hope you enjoy.

I have the exact same Bongo and I LOVE it! I've had an HH, which I also loved, but the simplicity of the single H (and the killer tone) make it my fave of the two. The factory strings were way to bright for my taste, so I laced her up with some flats. Even with the flats, it has plenty of zing. :)

Best part, it weighs 8 pounds.

My only Bongo 1H is an FL-p, so I don't really
know the sound of a bass like yours, but I do
know that I don't in the least miss the second
MM PU. I've had 4 and 5 string fretted Bongo
HH, and you just don't need that many coils
to get what a Bongo is all about. As already
posted above, describing tone is pointless vs
the wondrous sooprise you're about to enjoy !

@nurnay I remember your NBD recently, and at first glance I thought this was yours and you had sold it already!
