New Dream Theater solo (JPX)

Devin, nice job:) Those types of solos can look easy at a technical level but not may can sell it with feel.....you sold me sir....

Why thank you sir. I do what I can. :) I need to put new strings on the JPX and record again. These strings are about 8 months old :X

Sounding good Devin!

Thanks Benji! I see you have quite the onslaught of JP models there. I'm hoping to get my hands on a JP 7 soon. I want that one to have more of a darker, heavy sound. I think I'm leaning towards a JPXI 7 also, I just love that color! Whats your experience with the JPXI? Do you feel it has a darker or perhaps, fuller sound quality to it, in comparison to the other models?

The X series of guitars have a darker, more rounded tone than the standard JP fare. To me, my JPXI has the most focused tone of all my JPs and I like it very much. By focused I mean with a big fat power chord using four or more strings the overtones seem very centered and coherent whereas my JPX7 (roasted neck) has a fatter tone. I think a JPXI 7 would be hell of a guitar.
