hi guys my name is lonney and im from Nova Scotia Canada
Just got my First EBMM AXIS got her brand new yesterday and i i Know that this trem is for de tuneing or dive bombing only but mine is resting a little bit on the body so when i let go of the bar i hear it hit a little .....now my question is even though this trem is dive bomb only should it still "float " to the point where it doesnt hit the body at all?
any help on this would be great
i have an 85 Kramer Barretta with a O.F.R so im used to working on them but wanted an experienced opinion before i attempted anything on this beauty
Thanx in advance

If you don't want it to float, simply tighten the trem springs, just enough so that the trem comes to rest on the body...

well it actually IS sitting on the body i was wondering if it is supposed to be that way or SHOULD it actually float a little for a smoother trem feel?

Lenny, welcome!! There's someone else around here from NS, can't remember his name.

How about posting some pictures of that new beauty??

Did you get the Floyd or Vintage trem? That matter.

Lonney, cool and your welcome. Yah I gotta learn how to do the Floyd ones myself. My wifes got one and I've never really messed around with them before. In my mind it shouldn't rest on the body, but I haven't taken a look at my wifes in a while.

I'm at work right now, but I'll try to take a look tomorrow.

When you post your pictures put them on the Picture Post sticky thread. :D

Flat LIke level so it floats and doesnt touch the guitar at all? or flat so that the plate underneath the trem sits flush againt the body or on it?

It should be flat so the plate sits against the body.

Welcome aboard!

VERY Cool thank you very much! i went from 9's to 10's today and added a 3rd spring and i have it decently low and the plate JUST hits and rests which gives the trem a nice looser feel ,just wanted to make sure i didnt want to hurt the girl! hehehehe

Not that I know of, but you never know. I think Pete's got a Kramer if memory serves me right.
