Well I stumbled across an EVH that i just couldn't pass up. The price was right and the top is INCREDIBLE!!!

I'm assuming it is a 1995 because of the high serial # 87869. It is far from mint...some fret wear and some minor blems and scratches but all-in-all a great EVH.

I am also entering into new territory, i started jammin' with some guys a couple weeks ago. I had never played with a drummer, bass and another guitar before...and i gotta tell ya, it is a hell of a lot of fun!!!! We jam on thursday nights at the drummers house and just have a lot of fun! I'll see if i can get the drummers wife to snap some shots of us next week...its a hoot!!:D

Phew, that's what i call a top mate! Time for a new group shot!

Do you plan on taking the thing in for a fret leveling?

Either way great top and great guitar! ;)

thanks man!!! it plays really good, so i think i will just contiune to play it the way it is.

i had to steel wool on the fretboard for almost an hour  ....but it was well worth the effort, it really brought the birdseye back. in hindsight, i should have done a before and after to show just how bad the neck was neglected!

the floyd saddles are starting to pit and the saddle blots are getting pretty bad too. the guy really overtightened the floyd bolts and the nut bolts...when i took the strings off i was affraid i was gonna break a couple of them!!!

the top and back could use a good professional buffing...but if i am gonna be jammin with it, why bother?

after a couple of hours, i had her back in tip-top shape and ready to rock!

Hey Brent,

Another killer Axis my friend. Do you intentionally go looking for these guitars to build up your collection or do they just sorta fall into your lap.

Another beauty.

Interesting to find out which one you'll be bringing to the jams mostly.

One of the things I really liked about jamming in a band a couple years back and having multiple guitars was being able to just leave a couple there where we rehearsed.

Beats transporting 2 guitars, pedal board, 4X12 cab, head, cables, etc.

thanks guys!

i hear ya keith....after the second week, i left my 5150 combo over at steve's place...i will probably use the trans gold and the sunburst the most, only because they already have some battle scars. there is no sence in getting all of them beat up...they may be worth some money someday???
