I just got the call. My new rad red JP has arrived, and I'm picking it up on my way to work tonight. I'll post pictures as soon as possible.

I just got home from work and snapped a few pics. I haven't had a chance to download them yet, but they will be here soon. This is the first time I've actually seen radiance red in person. Pictures do not do it justice. In fact, it looks totally different in person. Different in a good way. It's by far the most beautiful instrument I've ever seen. I'll try to get the pics up before I go to work tonight.

Here's some quick snapshots. I'll see if I can get some action photos at rehearsal this week. This color is difficult to capture in a photo. It is really a beautiful guitar. The neck has slight birdseye and is incredibly fast. It's really an awesome axe.

awesome!

It looks sort of red/orange in those shots, is that how it is in real life or is that just the flash?

For me it's currently a toss up for my JP7 between Radiance Red and Pearl Redburst... maybe candy apple red is in there somewhere too....

It really seems to depend on what lighting you catch it in. In direct sunlight it really has a lot of gold highlights over the red. Under tungsten light it looks more red with lots of metal flake. It is definitely very red in all conditions but will start to take on a bit of an orange look with gold highlights from certain angles. I'm very glad I went with this color. I almost ordered candy apple red.
