Hey there. I have my LukeIII for about two weeks now, and like it a lot. Here's a pic from my fifth gig with it. Disregard the thing on my forehead, I smacked into the hood mechanism loading out of the the previous night's gig. I have a question about the trem, but I should probably post it as a thread, no?

I keep my Luke in a very good tuning stability by using Nut sauce in the nut as well as bridge *as well as* under the tremolo bridge to make sure the movements are as smooth as possible. It also depends how much you use the tremolo in general.

My LIIIs do not have a tuning issue, so I agree with this. Nut sauce is a big help.
 
Welcome and nice Luke they are great.

Never had any tuning issues with a Music Man and I have owned many, now Fenders never had one that stayed in tune.
 
My strat stays in tune well, my luke3 rarely goes out of tune. I agree with Sweat, mm guitars stay in tune better than any brand I've tried.
 
How do you like the HSS setup on the Luke III? I ordered one of the Neptune blue models with that combination. I already have a bunch of dual humbucker guitars so I thought I would try something different this time....
 
PBGas, I like the HSS config. I'm still finding my way re the tone differences of the pups in relation to my amp settings. I play in a cover band that plays a wide variety of songs and styles. A typical set has Respect (Aretha), Hashpipe (Weezer), I'm Yours (Jason Mraz), Billy Jean (MJ), Rebel Yell (Idol), Soul Man (Sam and Dave), and Another Brick in the Wall (Floyd) in it, so I'm searching for the right pup setting for these songs at home and as I play them. The humbucker is more usable than others that I've had, although I haven't used the last setting as much as the next to last one. I'm having a lot of fun discovering the tones in this axe.
 
Congrats on an amazing guitar and welcome to the forum! We have a really active community here. The Luke III is also my favorite guitar. It's just so comfortable, and the volume boost is great. Position 4 is also a favorite of mine. I'd be rocking the bridge for Rebel Yell, though :cool:
 
I like the HSS configuration in general due to the versatility and it's seldom I need a single-coil on the bridge (don't play country) so you could get the bluesy Hendrix sound if you tweak the neck pickup (usually raise it a little bit), funky stuff with the middle positions, half-distortion with the single coil + humbucker and full rock growl with the bridge humbucker.
