Well guys I finally ordered a new Luke III. After playing one back in April...and thinking about it daily, I pulled the trigger and got one from Sweetwater. They are on back order and should be in around mid Oct. So pumped and really looking forward to this new Luke.

I ordered the Bodi Blue with duel humbuckers!!! Pics will be posted the day she arrives.

Was curios to what the case candy consist of these day? Booklets? Paperwork? Cloth.
 
Congrats. The luke III is one of the BEST rock guitars ever made. Hands down.

I was wondering what all yours came with inside the case? I didn't get the paperwork, or warranty card. Neither of the new factory serial number stickers were on the neckplate or the body contour. Do they all not have these ?

It did have the case keys, and tremolo bar inside a yellow mailing envelope.

What? I thought all EB MM guitars had the serial numbers stamped on the neck plate?!?!?

can someone confirm this?
 
My JP6 Mystic Dream,and JP6 BFR both came with a warranty card,trem arm,wonder wipes,fretboard conditioner and polish for the instrument..
BFR had a card with the date it was made,with serial no,and the serial number was a sticker on the neck plate
case keys too

The neck plate does have the number stamped into the metal. I was talking about the 2 stickers on the backside. the larger square one and the smaller...long rectangle shaped one on the neckplate.
 
The bridge was also set flush to the body. I read as well that these are supposed to be floating..with the ability to go sharp and flat?

Yes, the Luke factory setup is floating. Easy to adjust - just loosen the trem claw screws, re-tune, then test. repeat as necessary. Set it for approximately a 3mm gap (1/8") behind the bridge pate (see photo below). When you pull up all the way that should give you a minor third up-bend on the G-string, i.e. the G-string will raise in pitch to a Bb.

The bridge on mine was also set flush to the body when I got it. My best guess is that the either they are shipped like that internationally or guys at Strings & Things UK set them up that way???? Either way it is wrong. They should be set up floating with about 1.5 steps of upward movement on the G string. This is how Luke uses it, and it's his guitar. So, I spent a good hour setting up the guitar rather than enjoying playing it right out of the box. All the same, once set 'properly' it's an awesome guitar! Enjoy...
