Where are you based? I'm in Southern California and bent on getting a MusicMan bass sometime in the Fall. Right now, I'm considering a StingRay 4 Honey Burst 2EQ Rosewood w/ unmatching headstock. How's that look for you? Price? Case included?

midopa: Is there something special with 2band eq, soundwise or something? like bovine have owned some 2bands and 3bands and now he only own one with 2band..

Do you carry Just Musicman or a line of Ernie Ball too?
 
Well, I'm only considering it. I only play bass for my church's praise team and they're very minimalistic and like to keep things simple. Thus, I'm seeking a nice, bassy tone and I've read through this board that the 2EQ has a nice tone in this regard. Granted, I haven't actually tried a 2EQ, but I'll place my bets on it.

In any case, I hope to find some time to visit Guitar Center to try the 2EQs, the 3EQs, the rosewood boards, maple, Bongo, HH, HS, etc. ... The MusicMan list goes on and on! :)

I'll try to answer everyones questions with a short paragraph: Store name is Daddy O's Music Shack located in Springfield, IL. No website, but am listed on the MM dealer page and have been in business for a little over 3 years. A full line EB/MM dealer. Currently new and in stock:
Sub 5 bass (red, aluminum PG), SR4 (3EQ, Carbon Blu Pearl, White ICe PG, RW neck, unmatched headstock), SR5 (Desert Gold, RW neck, blk PG, unmatched headstock. Hey johans,

Pics would be awesome - especially for the Honey Burst. I've given up hope on finding a Blue Sparkle anytime soon so I've now relocated my cravings to the HB SR's. Make sure they're huge, high quality, shimmering, tax-avoiding pics!
