One of the many new instruments we will debut next week at Winter NAMM.

The Ray34CA (Classic Active) is a Classic style version of the Ray34.

Ash body (slab style, no forearm & belly contours)
MM designed Classic pickup
MM designed 2 band Classic active preamp
Hard glossy tinted neck finish
38mm nut width

Great idea. A lower price alternative to a Classic
I am in the minority as I love the 1 5/8" nut though as opposed to the 1 1/2 on these. Hope these become huge sellers

Hmmmm....I assume the electronics are outsourced, rather than in-house MIA? How close does the two band eq come to the real McCoy? Is it the same circuit, just manufactured offshore?

thanks for the update! Classy looking bass (pun intended)
Can't wait to try one of these out, curious about the 38mm nut also!

Do we have a price for these? Even just a SRP to see how they compare to the current Ray34.

Still no fretless option :( I hope something fretless comes out of NAMM considering how many players used to play them in the 80's, Pino Paladino, Paul Webb (Talk Talk), Mick Khan (Japan), Tony Levin to name a few. A classic fretless would be amazing.

And like this burst much better than the honeyburst Ray34. too much orange in that one for my taste.

The price of these of these are relatively cheep...I love the sound fretless graphite so I would suggest getting one you like and put a Status neck on it.

Damn! <1.5" nut on a SR? If this had a mute-bridge, I'd be all over that!
