This is a song that I recorded for a friend a couple years ago and the bass actually ended up being a scratch track.I didn't really know the song too well at the time so I just took a couple passes at it and moved on. I got a chance to re-record the bass(with some new parts) later but the I loved the tone on this one way better(the guy who mixed it the second time really screwed it up!) so I wanted to post it here....Not my favorite song but I really like the tone I got. There is one track form the D.I. on my 2001RB and one direct signal coming from my Black/Black/MapleSR5

I like that tone a lot, its aggressive but it fits in that pop context pretty well. I prefer a mix of treble in my tone anyhow:D

I think the way to describe my desired tone would be, similiar to that but with more 'spank'. Really hard to describe. Marcus Miller has a tone i really like as well.
