Congrats on the new Morse! Remember to take some real pics when she arrives. As the saying goes around here, no pics = never happened! :-)

Sweet - I'm thrilled a Sweetwater signed on as a dealer about a year ago - and the Morse is my favorite EBMM - you're gonna love the neck! :)

SWEET! Steve Morse guitars really do rock. I've been loving the blueburst one I picked up barely used last november. Only question I've had is how they react to a "normal" set of .10 strings, as they come stock with a custom set of RPS slinky's that are:

10p-13p-16p-26w-32w-42w

Standard RPS slinkys are:

10p-13p-17p-26w-36w-46w

Thoughts?

For new Morse owners I always recommend:

There's more youtubes of him playing/explaining how he pulls all those tones out of the guitar. Just take a look around.

I really didn't understand mine until I heard Steve explain it. Then at least the switches made sense.

Enjoy!

Should be fine, just need to fix the intonation. I'm running standard 9-42 on my Y2D.

The original strings still have plenty of life left, so it won't happen this month probably. Bigger problem is just that actually assembling the string set would require a lot of mixing and matching. I kind of wish EBMM would put out string sets matched to the artist models when they have custom sets.

+1 to that!

I'm able to buy regular EB strings singly to make my homegrown Morse custom sets - but can't get the Cobalts singly... :(
