Hi,
I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I purchased my first Musicman Bass, a Sterling. These are wonderful basses. Quality is impeccable. I cannot get over how easy everything works, such as the pickup adjustments, tuners, trussrod. High quality engineering to say the least. My only complaint was the index point on the pot was hard to overcome. I put a very thin washer on top of the nylon or teflon white washer and corrected this somewhat. The neck is very nice especially for my small hands.
Here is a photo of my bass:

Hello, I'm new to the Forum. I just bought a new Stingray5 and it's my first one
in 8 years. I used to have a ST4 and ST5 which got stolen while moving to a new home. I just kept putting it off because I thought I could get a newer replacement rays that played and felt as good as my old ones. Then I played
this new ST5 and I was hooked again. Now I'm looking for a 4 stringer. I played
a Bongo and liked it a lot so I might get one and A SUB 4. Does anyone know why
EBMM will not consider offering string-thru body Stingrays? I have e mailed them
many times and they just ignore me. It would be great even as a custom order
only. I would pay extra wouldn't you?

I think the general consensus is that there is nothing to gain with a string-thru option and we already know that there are about 50,000 options already available...probably not going to add that to the list.

It would be great even as a custom order only. I would pay extra wouldn't you?

I seem to recall that the 30th Anniversary Stingrays will be string-thru body....how much extra are you willing to pay, exactly? The Anniversary Rays retail for 2500 but I'm sure someone around here could fix you up with a good deal.....

Anyway, Ralph, welcome back to the EBMM Bass Family and welcome to the forum.

Jack

PS: More info on the Anniversary Model is here.

Let me introduce myself;

Hello All,

I'm new to the forum too.

I'm the proud owner of a Stealth Bongo and a Carbon Blue SR4.:D :D
Great basses and a truss rod tweak was the only set up adustment required.

Now I understand Big Poppa's custom shop comments. I've seen too many new "regular production " and even "custom shop" guitars that needed fret work and nut filing right out of the box.

How does MM get the treble to sound so sweet on a Bongo?
