New White AL in Toronto!

Nice! Yeah- those guys always have a good selection of MM gear. Never a Morse, though!!!

Good catch on the writeup! Maybe I'll pop in on the weekend ;)

sweet stuff,I think Sterling and EB/MM instruments /strings and volume pedals are the envy of the Industry!!!!! and with them making only around 16,000 instruments a year i now know why they have the nicest fitting and playing guitars in the universe!

I just spoke with the guy there to see what else was in stock. Yep. No Morse.
There's a L & M in London that has a black Morse. It's been sitting there for over a year. Wait a little longer, maybe a deal!;)

12 fret.com quote..
"Today after playing this Albert Lee I realized that if I were to get out of the business today but wanted to leave with one solidbody electric, this would be it. For me, these guitars are THE most comfortable, THE most playable and have THE sound I'm looking for. Just my opinion of course but man ..... these things really are unbelievable!!! "

...... yeah I know!!! (and you will soon pug!) :D

Fogman,

You are stealing my thunder. I just checked their website and saw the AL as well. You beat me to it:) . It's funny cause I made a thread about a used AL from the
12th fret a couple of days ago. It's still there in the used section on the website.

That's the store where I bought my Axis SS. They are great guys there. A buddy I've known for about 8 or 9 years works there as well. Very cool guy.

Like you said, they always have a fair number of EBMM's. Because they know EBMM's guitars are some of the best made. And they sing their praises about how great a company they are to deal with.

I was last there about a week and a half ago and they had about 9 or 10 balls in stock.

The only knock I have against the fret is that they wouldn't take my order for a Y2D before all the details were worked out on them. Other than that I love the place.

I'm a nerd and wanted to have one of the first few Y2Ds, so I suppose I can't blame them. In the end it worked out well for me and Pete Dubaldo  And hey, what's better than a trip to the US to pick up your new guitar ...

Who is your buddy? It is not Jay is it? He sold me my first guitar, a classical, and then my first electric (not an EBMM, they didn't carry them at the time).

I was never sure but I brought my Silo in (I had to buy it elsewhere, the Fret didn't carry EBMM at the time) for an insurance appraisal.

I remember the owner, Grant I think came out front after he called Steve's for the price and said "that Music Man is only $$$$$, and that is one nice guitar!"

I hope I had something to do with their decision to carry EBMM.

It looks like it's moving your speaker!!!

Grant- nice guy! He ran that build-your-own-guitar course and I spent a lot of time getting help from him back in the day. Jay is the guy I've spoken to every time I've called about MM inventory.

Hey Hookpunch,

No my buddy isn't Jay, although I know who he is and has been very helpful when I've dealt with him in the past. My buddy is Mike. He's only been at the Fret for about 5 months but has known the guys at the store for a long time.

Jay doesn't seem to work in the sales anymore. I think he's upstairs in the repair department. I'll have to ask Mike next time I see him.

Grant and David are the owners and have always been friendly when I've been there.

Hey Beej, that's very interesting on the Y2D. Do you mean they wouldn't take the order because EBMM hadn't officially released the details of the guitar? I don't understand why they wouldn't take the order.

Yep. I asked them about it before and after NAMM when it was announced. They said they wanted to wait until they had all the specs and marketing materials before they placed an order. This was at the point where Sterling & Steve & Dudley hadn't decided on the final configuration, but you could still get an order in the queue. (The pickup colours and switching weren't decided, etc.)

I totally don't blame them on this, not a big deal at all. But I was really eager so I ordered with Pete right away.
