I bought a pair of Ernie Ball Strings.
I think they were just your regular Gauge.
After putting them on, I realized that the low E,A and D strings were a little to "thick" for my taste.
So I'm asking the more knowledgeable people here, as to what type of Ernie Ball strings I should get next time, (i.e. Slinky, Super Slinky).
I play Rhythm (no lead).

Thanks Roger

So is it the smaller the number (009) the smaller the Gauge and Vica-Versa?
i.e. a 009 Gauge would be smaller than a 011......correct?

The 1st Number being the gauge of the "Low E String", and then goes to A,D,G,B,E?:)

(Told ya it's been a lomg time).:p

BTW.....THANKS!;)

Yes

No, you have it backwards. The thinnest string is the high E or first string, the thickest being the low E or 6th string. The number refers to fractions of an inch.

A good place to start would be a set of Super Slinkies in the raspberry-colored package.

Hope this helps, and welcome back!

You can also buy a couple packs (look at the gauges) and mix your own set. If you like the 10 as the high e string and want a 42 as the low E string (what it sounds like from what you got and liked/didn't like), then a pack of slinkys and a pack of super slinkys gets you there. I do this all the time and have a gazillion loose strings left over in their packages. I'll put together oddball combinations from the loose ones to try different things.
