Question NGD and Subtleties Question

So about two weeks ago I had a Les Paul and a JSX amplifier stolen from my garage here in St. Louis. End result - NGD for another Majesty in the Silver Lining finish courtesy of the insurance company.

Anyway, question for anyone who has more than one 6 string Majesty - what subtle differences have you noticed between your guitars? I feel like in comparison to my first Majesty (Siberian Sapphire), the second is 2-2.5 ounces heavier, has a slightly looser response, and maybe the pickups are slightly overwound. This could also be the drop D tuning vs. the standard tuning, but just feels a little different and I wondered if anyone else with more than one Majesty had experienced this.

P.S. - I get that no two guitars will be exactly the same for a plethora of reasons, so spare me that lecture please. Thanks!

I would say the different tunings certainly makes it impossible to accurately compare. Put the same brand/gage strings on in the same tunings, same setup, same distance string-to-pickup and then see.

Thanks Kev. Everything but the tuning on the two Majesty guitars is identical, so I'll change that and test again.

Jeong - at my request the insurance company cut me a check for the total monetary value of the items stolen so that I could replace as I desired. Obviously I much preferred another Majesty to a Les Paul. Since the JSX is no longer in production and I use a Boogie Road King II now anyway, no need to outright replace the amp.
