Wow super excited and cannot believe I already have this guitar. Thanks to Sweetwater I was first on the waiting list for a Chili Red Stingray, got the email Friday afternoon and it arrived today:) So far very impressed, lightweight, comfortable, sounds great very classic and looks cool, hell even the SKB case has a cool factor.

This was the new release that pushed my buttons from the start, now want to try the Cutlass as well:eek::cool::D

OK so it exists....Pics:p

Ha! I knew you were going to be the first to get one Keith! Congratulations!

So, how does it compare to some other EBMM instruments? You've had almost all of them, so you should be the authority!

Neck similar to?
How do you like the stainless steel frets?
Pickups similar to Axis or...?

LOL, surprised how quick it came:) Love all aspects, the neck to me is Silo/AL like and though the guitar is slightly larger it is still very comfortable.

The SS frets are a bonus and the PUP's are very vintage/classic sounding not quite like an Axis, more reserved. Have not has a chance to crank up my current amp yet.

Hell if the Cutlass is close then EBMM hit a home run!

Cool - first one on the block! That chili pepper red really does pop.

Quick question about the bridge - is the new bridge floating or is it lower pitch only like the EBMM Vintage trem (on everything but the Luke that is)?

John

It is lower pitch only but very smooth, one evening but so impressed with this guitar:)

Keith - thanks for the info. I couldn't tell from the photos in the Guitar Player review if it was floating or not since it sits a bit differently than the Vintage tremolo.

I can't wait to try both the StingRay and the Cutlass.

Congrats Keith and BP! Very nice instrument. I REALLY like the price point too! Very affordable in the realm of a new EBMM-quality instrument!
