The answer was at my door this morning : a second one.

What a great axe it is!

Only disapointment: the little MM nylon discs between the guitar and the pin were replaced by UUUGLY "felt" ones. Honestly : this bugs me a lot! If someone has spare ones, I'm buying!

Also need to replace that greyish pickguard that I'm not fond of.

And I'll most probably end up going HSS on this one! What do you guys think? Sacrilege or good idea?

Go for the Humbucker - will really open it up as your shred machine.

Nothing like having a collection of the Blue Neptune!!!! :)

Agree on a pickguard change.
The pattern detracts from the beautiful color of guitar. Wonder if clear is avail

I like the tiger stripe back of the neck!
Felt is superior in that application....besides, why would you even be looking under the strap! Or more importantly, not be using strap locks??
Can't really make out the front for all the reflection.
I vote for triple mini-buckers ala the St.V !!
:)

Make it HSS! Are you routing or just a humbucker in singlecoil format? Congrats, it's a beauty!

On a side note: still no AL MM90?

congrats - that neck is unreal!
do whatever you wan regarding the pickups. why not?
and changing the pickguard is a must. :-)

I'll be honest, when I first saw this thread, all I saw was "PDN" and I rapid-clicked hoping to see some Starry Night PDN porn. Disappointed in no Starry Night porn, but that's canceled out by the beautiful 2014 PDN porn. :)

HOLY ROASTED MAPLE!!
I got all my Balls equipped with DiMarzio Straploks. I can send you a Pair of the Hard Washers if you want to.
