Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. It’s been 3 months since my last EB. Such a temptation I couldn’t resist. I will humbly do penance of 10,000 heart-felt riffs.

Amen

Thanks, guys! I shall post pics.

Other than the maple board, color and painted headstock, it's a duplicate of the Sil Sp I already have. I know what I like! :)

I haven't said it before but, the folks on this site are really friendly and helpful. I don't get a clique-vibe as on some other guitar web boards.

Speaking of taking images of guitars, I'm going to open a thread for tips: lighting, flash or no flash, etc. Or has someone done that here already?

Wow! do I resemble this remark? Isn't it OK to have some Fenders along with the Balls?

After all, it was Leo who started it all off................... including Music Man.

i too resemble my own remark! i have 3 fenders, and 3 balls, when my 4 other balls get here it will be goodbye to the fenders for good. i am over them in a big way. by balls can everything my strats can, and more.

Way to go candid_x! The seller was willing to ship to Belgium, but it's OK if someone from the board got it!! :)

Thanks, TwAn, Rob and all.

The purchase was made a little sweeter by negotiated free shipping. I’m not much of a collector of anything anymore, preferring a minimalist lifestyle, but when there’s something I really value, I like having a back up. Here’s my first Silo Special. This new one is a bit more over the top in the looks department, but “Blue” is sure to get its fair share of play time.

I am most curious to compare the sound between maple and rosewood board on these guitars. I’ve always enjoyed the “snappy” response of maple, but the warmth of rosewood on “Blue” is a wonderful thing.

There may also be a difference in the bridge humbucker, as this newer one may be loaded with a Virtual PAF, while Blue is loaded with a PAF Pro.
