O.T. Undercover in New Orleans

I got called to lend a horn section (a wind controller gig) with C.J. Chenier “The Zydaco King” at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. I’ll be there on the 29th, come on down and we’ll eat stuff that you’d normally call an exterminator for!

Of course I have I’m on a covert mission to steal bass licks from every bass player there. I hope to steal some from George Porter Jr.

I know it ain’t a bass gig, but I have to still take a few “other instrument” gigs to fund my bass addiction, plus the lefty Bongo’s come out soon… I had to do this.

Hey jongitarz, I emailed you my cell number. We are spending the night, but leaving Saturday morning in hopes of making it back for gigs, (I do have a sub ready just in case). We play at 4:35 Friday and I’m sure we’ll hang around and drin… ah, listen to music.
