Octave pedal recommendations?

Anyone have any octave pedal recommendations?

There's this cool lead sound that John Mayer gets on his track "Belief" on "Continuum." I'm kind of after that tone if you're familiar with it. I'm not even sure it's an octave pedal, but still...I kind of want to check out a nice octave pedal anyway or whatever type of effect you think it is. Do you think it's just a straight fuzz?

dont think its an octave pedal he's using, sounds like just a good player getting good tone, with some fuzz or gain. if you pick up near the nekc pikcup you can get high end octave like sounds, Brett Garsed does this really well.

I had the Boss Octaver pedal years ago, and it did the job. Nowadays I just tend to play the octaves with my fingers.

I used a basic BOSS OC2 for awhile and liked it a lot, but it only drops one or two octaves, doesn't go up, which doesn't sound like what you're looking for.

I have a boss octave pedal, it's just the kind of pedal where the novality wears off quickly, l bought mine about 10 years ago, l used it once or twice then it got packed away.

I think the novelty of any octave pedal will wear off quickly. After all.. how many songs do you want to play with octave effect in them?

I use the DS-1. I like it. I bought a DIY mod kit for mine, but I haven't had time to try it out yet.

I have a Boss OC-2 and I love it!

I have an OC-2 as well as a HR-2 Harmonist. The OC-2 sounds more organic while the HR-2, sounds more synthy.

The Boss OC3 is the one to go for - its polyphonic so you can octave chords too.

Went to see Mayer on Monday night in London. A truly stunning player with incredible touch feel and tone.

He has that whole Hendrix chord/lead thing (think Little Wing) down too....

Behringer octave pedal...

It's £15 new and then when you realise you should have bought a harmonizer as it sounds like the Dr. Who sound FX dept. it's very little money down the poo poo pan.
