Is that really a silver fretless Stingray with a white fretboard?! Hmmmmm.

It seems to have the truss rod at the headstock, so it's probably pre-EB? Does that mean the pre-EB MM did custom orders on their Stingrays?

By the way, I just remembered that in the Simpsons episode that ran last, last week, there was a quick clip of a bassist playing a left handed Stingray! w00t!

The bullet truss (at headstock) was adopted by Ernie Ball after buying MM and remained a feature on early EB Basses.

The capstan truss wheel (at neck heel) was created with the advent of the Silhouette GUITAR (not Bass) in 1985. It was then included with the introduction of the Steve Morse GUITAR in 1986.

The SR5 Bass debuted in 1988 incorporating both the new truss wheel (and the new 6 bolt neck plate).

Soon after, the truss wheel was added to the Sting Ray Bass in circa 1989.

For some reason, it was not put to use on the Sabre Bass which ceased production in 1991.

a CHROME plating!!! Pretty cool, huh? I first saw
a picture of Mr. Levin holding that thing about ten
years or so ago and I flipped!

There is a company called GUNS, GIRLS & GUITARS
who offer a chrome plating service.

At my church, the hip word is "huk!" You can say it's a sort of Korean sound-effect. Roughly translated, it's something like "gasp!" - a reaction to something shocking, etc. However, these guys took it to a whole new level. It's madness over here.

Although, I can hear "w00t" trickling it's way in.

Wow! I wonder how that would sound, eh? Haha... That's pretty trippy, though. I'm wondering if I should ever shell out the cash to do a number on my cheap ESP B205... You know, like a bright, rainbow-like coating on the fretboard. Hahaha.
