So I haven't played my upright for quite a while but have had to dust it off this week for some gigs and did the first gig tonight.... oi! my fingers are killin' me.... such a wuss, I knew I should've kept up on atleast doing Petraccis every day:(

stand up bass looks fun. but i want to learn how to play electric more. Better chance i will be able to use electric than stand up. But if i did have a stand up, im sure i would pay it and not let it go to waste. That wasnt pointed at you... if it sounded like i was insulting you i do apologize, because i was not attacking you for letting a good instrument go unused. Oops... i did it again, i made it sound like i was bashing you. So sorry.

ya, I've been feeling guilty anyways but it's just that the only thing I've been gigging on for the last few months is my electric and with a wife, 2 kids, part time job, Youth group, a total of 1 month on the road in the last 3 months my time gets eaten pretty quickly BUT I have seen the error of my ways and my time management is getting a coporate restructuring.

I played a contrabass at my local Guitar Center. Wow! Those have an awesome, thundering sound! They're very fun to play, even if you don't know the notes! :p

It really is fun to play and Jean-Frederic, you could be pulling off some Michel Donato lines!!!! He's such an amazing upright player, have you heard the duet CD he did with Alain Caron?

i used to play one in an orchestra. beat that. no im kidding that wouldnt be to hard, it was in junior high. but non the less, it did have a great sound. and it led me to meeting my girlfriend. BASS IS GOOD!
