old miking method

some of you guys may have seen a couple of videos with my luke's and my bogner, using a load box / di box and some impulsles responses.

I got a ribbon mic from a friend to create an IR, but after the job was done, I also recorded with it in the simple way we always did, just the mic in front of the amp. no boxes or software processing.

I loved it so much that I bought the same for me. I also have a 57 in this video but it is submixed, just to get an extra small amount of highs.

still having a lot of fun pwith this luke 3 HSS...!!!

Sounds so good! However, I'm pretty sure that the awesome sound is mostly the effect of your great playing, not the microphone
