Ben just called me at....well, past midnight to tell me how absolutely fabulous his blue Bongo really is.

We talked for a bit about basses. He said, "Next time you see Sterling Ball, give him a kiss and thank him for making the Bongo."

Yeah. I know exactly what he means.

Mr. Big Poppa, my blue Bongo was my first EBMM bass, bought in 2003 after Jack's initial proselytizing about the Bongo. I knew I liked Jack a lot back then, so I thought I'd take a chance on the bass, too. I bought it sight unseen from Musician's Friend. Best bass purchase I ever made, hands down.
