I was just flipping through a music catalog (lacking EB, but used to have it in there, hmm...) and it just made me realize how lucky we are with just the NAMES of these guitars. For example, the Axis. Silhouette. Luke. These other companies are starting to get RIDICULOUS with their model numbers, thank goodness we don't have to deal with "JPM4531QXRT76", we just say Petrucci. I know it's silly, but I make sure not to take the ease of names for granted! Another + for EB.
 
And thanks to the knuckledeads on this forum, we've also got names for guitars that don't even exist yet ... the "siltrucci" comes to mind ... :p

NONE... we just say that the others are a PAIN in the ___ to PLAY!
 
Still waiting (Patiently) on the anniversaries. Then I think I will be done. That is unless this whole "BFR" thing turns out to be something I need. ;)
 
Norm, you need anything that EBMM puts out. Much like the rest of us. :D

I preach to all about the EBMM way, a few takers, but no major converts as of lately. I let them see mine and try them out.

not only are the names getting out of control, but in one particular catalogue, some of the item despriptions really torqued me, as they were clearly aimed at people who hadn't done their homework
 
Wait a minute, I'm confused....are you referring to the RGT42DXFMTLF, or the DC400MW :rolleyes: (those are actual names, 10 points if you can name the manufacturer).

It's also nice not to have to decode which ones are USA-made, and which are imports. One company uses "EXP" to denote guitars made overseas...if I'm buying it here, should it be "IMP"? :rolleyes:

The opportunities to post about your "Balls" and your ASS are just the icing on the cake :D

With so much ASS to play with at home, it was inevitable that I would wind up with two burst Balls....one of them is even blue.

yea, and kinda like how they'll have the high end USA model, and then on the same page, advertise the model that is 1/4 the price, and say "same as (insert high end model), except with bolt on neck and rosewood fretboard", when in reality, it isn't. they completely leave out the fact that it is an import, which makes it obvious what they truly care about :rolleyes:

also, can anyone tell me why some chinese-made guitars are selling for what a brand new silo would sell for?

Sub, you obviously know who I'm talking about! The same manufacturer did this with their previous flagship guitar...put out a Korean-made version at less than half the price, that was very hard to distinguish from the USA unless you knew your stuff. I think it helped erode the brand, and contributed to poor sales for what was a very fine guitar, made in the USA, at a good price point.
