Guitars and Amps will be there.

Gang,
If you'll be in SLO friday and want to play and hear some of us play, join us at the sands. A bit of jamming, or if you prefer, play a song or 2 you've written.

Seems like the only time available with the schedule so packed (including Poppas mention of the firestone before winery that night).

Maybe bring a lunch and any beer/wine you might wanna drink.

Also, volume levels should be respectful of everyone that doesn't want to hear us.

Who's in?

Oh. I thought the firestone was gonna be a happy hour 4-6 thing. Then straight to winery.

Friday night (that late) seems a bit impolite to other motel guests. When me and Norm got together and jammed at the sheraton security asked us to stop...well actually Norm. He had been playing for the last 15 minutes and apparently their had been a call or 2. When there was a knock at the door, I figured it was one of Norm's rocket scientist buddies and I yell out, "Hold on! Let us put away the coke."

I open the door, and it's security. :o

Sunday is anyone still gonna be there?

I was gonna see if poppa and Jon might wanna swing by.

Now we have to rethink everything. Still would like to see and hear fellow ballers play.

hey kids the Firestone thing starts at around noon but I will be there for a few hours

What starts at noon?? I'm confused. I thought the whole deal started at 5'ish??

Glenn

I'd like to be in- but my plans are all still up in the air at this time. If the best possible travel scenario comes down, then I'd be able to make it.

In one of the erlier threads BP referenced he would be hanging out at a local place in SLO called the Firestone on Friday before the official festivities got underway and put out the unofficial word for folks who got into town early and wanted to stop by.

Well, if this happens (the hotel jam that is), RECORD, RECORD, RECORD! Even if it is with a tape recorder.......I would love to hear it!

Hey BP,

What's the best way to do this if people want to do both?

1.jam
2.firestone
3 winery

or

1.firestone
2.jam
3.winery

Counting on you, fsmith, and pete.

Am I making a airport run for you guys? Or are you renting car?

Keith,
Is your offer for any of us arriving in SLO Fri. am? If it is, we would certainly like to take you up on the offer. I think Fred was also interested. However, a visit to the Sands' website shows: "Free Airport and Train Station Pick Up " so the timing of arrivals isn't really necessary unless you *want* to pick up folks.

I would venture to guess that return transportation would be doable. SO... if you don't need a car before the festivities, the Sands, at least, offers a lift but, if you're staying at another hotel, you'll want to make sure before you get there.

Sunday might be another story since we're there all day and not leaving until Monday. Anyone else staying through Sunday (Beej, Sean, Keith, Tokkes)? Warg Master can you modify your outbound and leave later? A Sunday jam would be awesome and could go for hours... :D
Janice

offer still good. No room for Pete's bro which complicates things.
Maybe I could commandeer the motel van.

BTW if you guys are hanging Sunday you really need to spend part of the day driving up the coast. Leave 3-6 hours for the round trip. Trust me on this. Not to be missed.

I definitely can't be around Sunday. I'm trying to get things worked out, but Savannah to SLO is a long trip (upwards of 14 hours one way, in some cases)- I'm hoping to come and go via SFO, and the latest flight home (that still gets me to work on time Monday) is something like noon on sunday- which means driving back to SF after the concert Sat. night.

So if Sunday it is, then I'm with Koogie- make sure you record it!

Keith,
I'll be there. And if you're around, I'd be honored to catch a ride to the motel. Flight is supposed to get in at 11:50.

I'm also trying for a late check out on Sunday, my flight doesn't leave SLO until 7:35 PM. So I'll be hanging around somewhere.

Red-eye to Baltimore... yeah!!! :( At which point I probably won't give a damn, it'll have been one kick-ass weekend.

Guess I have some woodshedding to do! :o

That's the understatement of the year... I've only been playing for about a year and a half, so you have no idea how intimidated / inferior I'm going to feel watching you guys play... I'll be copping licks left and right... ;)
