Yeah yeah, I know, buy both. If you had to _start_ your herd with one, which would it be? I'm talking about the SR5. I like the single pickup model, but figure the dual pickup (HH or HS) would be slightly more versitle. I played an HH and thought it was pretty good. I couldn't compare it to an HS.

Which, and why?

Do you HH model owners miss the singlecoil setting (pickup at bridge only)?

Do you find it annoying or problematic that the S in the HS is lower output/volume?

For reference, I play christian P&W that is rock bassed, but I like to make it sound like earth wind and fire (well not the tone, but funky).

I play kind of the same style as your stuff (with a nice amount of slap in there). I have a single H SR5 and am ordering a HH SR5 this month. Why you ask? I played one up at GC and fell in love. You can't go wrong with either though.
