In 1992 a crack rock and roll unit was sent to prison by a military court for a "don't ask, don't tell" crime it didn't commit. These men, if you can call them that, promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Tempe music underground. Today, still wanted by the government, these veterans of pure unadulterated rock received a call from General Mills requesting that their rock brigade once again wage a campaign on the front line of Rock & Roll. From the very genesis of their existence Drunk Prom Date originated the "Shock and Awe" strategy. Mainly because the audience shouted out, "Awe, you guys suck!" and "I'm shocked you call yourselves musicians." Drunk Prom Date, heeding to the need for more cowbell, have donned their rock fatigues and will be hitting the rock and roll arena named Monkey Pants this Saturday.
Of course, as with any major battle, DPD needs support for the fight, and who better than the special forces of Steppchild: An elite three-member unit of soldiers of rock fortune. Steppchild, along with DPD, will begin a growl and hair assault with a Panzer-like frenzy to rid the world of tired corporate conglomerate rock.
Join the rock attack Saturday at Monkey Pants. Monkey Pants is located on the northeast corner of Mill Ave & Southern in Tempe. Rumor has it Monkey Pants doesn't suck and it would behoove all to attend this first night of rock in The Pants.
