My band, the Implications, will be playing at the Harlem Yacht Club (yes, that's the name) in NYC this Friday, August 4. Come see Da Bongo in action...along with my geeky bass player Kangol cap. Wear yours in solidarity!
The HYC is nowhere near Harlem...it's on City Island, which is in Da Bronx.
We go on at 7, play til 8:30, there's a break for some sort of ceremony or something, then we play again til whenever. Won't be a terribly late night.
Nice venue...right on the water, nice view of the Manhattan skyline in the distance. We play outdoors on the deck if the weather cooperates.
PM me at least 24 hours in advance if you'd like to come, and I'll give you directions.
