OT: Good news and Bad News

First the bad news - I blew something in my AC-15. Tube and fuse replacements don't fix it. Wah.

Good news - I bought a Top Hat King Royale.

Woo hoo!

On a semi-on-topic note, since the AC-15 was blown I dusted off the '63 Vibroverb RI and plugged the Albert Lee in for the 1st time.

Very nice.

jeeze, TV - hope the AC comes out okay and doesn't cost you the farm... Do those things run as hot as the AC30s? 'cause if they do, it shouldn't be a surprise that something's gone melt-down... At least you won't lack for something to play through while waiting for it to be repaired... The AL through the a Vibroverb RI must be sweet... I love either of mine through my Deluxe Reverb...

The AC-15 is a reissue...I've heard people say it runs hot, but I wouldn't know what to measure. It sure does put out some heat through the vents though.

I'm told it's probably the rectifier...guess I'll find out.
