OT: Jazz Bass Amps

My jazz instructor told me that the school was going to be purchasing new amps for the music division today, and he asked me to help him out, as he's a drummer. Any suggestions for a good combo amp for both electric and upright jazz? Any help is appreciated.

Check Out Phil Jones Bass.com / I own a PJB Briefcase and love it, They are not cheap $595 direct from Phil Jones. I play a Stingray 5, Stingray fretless and my Martin acoustic guitar through it .

pretty good tone for the price point.

The Ampeg Rocketbass combo(100 watts) is a real nice sounding amp that is pretty good for both electric and upright. I use mine for smaller gigs/musicals/jazz.

Last jazz workshop i did i used a Hughes & Kettner amp that the school owned.
It sounded very good on electric , fretless and upright
