He's coming around to one of the local bars next week.
Have any of you seen him in concert?
I was wondering if the show might be worthy of my $25.

Seen him when I was in high school, 20 years ago...WOW! If I recall, the show was very LOUD, aside from the JH is a remarkable bluesman...

I've seen Jeff a bunch of times. His club (Healey's) is literally a block from my office.

Go see him! Well well well worth the $25. He's a phenomenal player who can cover a lot of different styles. Really inspiring. Plus, I'm still blown away at how he can play like that. (For those who don't know him, he's been blind since childhood and learned to play with the guitar set down on his lap.)

Jeff is a good friend of lukes

I asked Luke about him at the Open House- he said they were drinking one night and he (Luke) was so drunk Jeff had to walk him to the car. Hahaha :p

Now correct me if I am wrong, but me thinks he learned to play on his lap, because when he started he was so young and small, and it was easier to hold the guitar that way, not necessarily due to his challenge...or maybe I am thinking of someone else!

I dunno ... from what I remember and have read, he just kind of figured out how to play that way and nobody corrected him.

However he did it, he's amazingly talented :)

Talk about deja vu, I was watching a JH concert on TV the other night and was really impressed with his playing.

I once rode the elevator in the Westin (now Omni) William Penn hotel with the members of the Jeff Healy Band. Nice guys. They engaged in some small talk with me, which was cool considering it was a short ride.

I read an interview with hin in Guitarist many years ago. He said he played that way because he had not "seen" how any body else played. Amazing talent. His version of Harrison's "While my guitar gently weeks" is breath taking.
