ot: my rotten week

well i just found out that the wage advertised for my position is wrong. because i am a 'trainee' i get HALF yes HALF of what was advertised.

then if im quick enough, once i hand in some study modules then i go to 75% of full wage. thats JUST enough for me to sleep, eat and get to and from work and back home to woombie on weekends. lucky im smart or id be living in the gutter for 6 months.

then found out my cat missy died this morning. run over by a car i think and came into our yard to die.

and after 33years as manager at the same company my dad had his last day cause he has been made redundant. hes doing ok though, just take time to find another job

THEN someone suggested that to get money to live on i should SELL MY BONGO.


at THAT point i got rather cranky.

I am so sorry about your week. I really do hope things get better. My sympathies on the loss of your pet. As you've seen in another thread, I'm a big time cat lover.

Sorry to hear all that Tiffs, at least you still have a positive attitude. At the get together I'll tell you what's been happening to me, involves the state government, the lord mayors office, the police and the media. Been going on for 8 months too. Quite a story let me tell ya. Hope it gets better for you.

Bad week for me as well Tiffles. Woke up this morning feeling rather ill. Looks to be a sinus infection and will probably have to go beg for some antibiotics. Although, on the bright side, it's the first time I've been sick in a year and a half.

You hit the nail on the head there. All the silly stuff aside, you clearly are smarter than the average bear. Hang in there. Soon enough, if they have any sense, they'll recognize your superior brain and pay you what you're worth. Or close to what you're worth, anyway, which is what most of us have to live with.

This is no good at all. My mom took my cat when I moved to Peru in 1995. Then when my mom passed away last year, the silly cat came back to me. She's not a youngster, either, and now my boy is all attached to her - his first and only pet - and I dread the day that she's no longer with us.

I most sincerely send my condolences regarding Missy.

the hospital are checking out another traineeship that a girl my age did in heamatology last year. she got paid more because she was older than the average school age trainee. so even if its tight for a while, it just might take me a bit longer to get stuff happening and head overseas. planning to be a leader on one of your summer camps lol


as far as the being blessed thing goes i know what you mean. i got my first letter from my sponsor child, juliette in burkina faso in africa. it cheered me up heaps, she is such a cutie. and her favorite things to do are drawing and singing. artist and muso double woot! whether the finances suck for a year or whatever, juliette kind of puts things in perspective.
