Hey guys ...

my band just put our CD for sale online and was wondering if any of you guys would be kinda enough to post a review.

I'm not trying to make $ off you guys so here's the secert link to download the MP3's:
http://www.victim-nation.com/allsongs.html (but feel free to buy a CD if you want LOL)

FYI: Vigilante, Sour and Sweet Sacrifice seem to be our most popular songs so you might wanna check those out first.

If you dont hate us go over to http://cdbaby.com/review/victimnation and post a review :)

ps: unfortunately i joined the band after recording so im not playing on those songs.
ps2: mods, if this is inappropriate lemme know and ill delete the thread

thanks guys,
Arin

he he .... Jesse and I are buddies so he didnt just pop up outta the blue. LoL. But he has told me "not so nice" things about past bands ive been in so im sure he meant what he said :)

thanks dude

Nice Arin! Not usually into punk but appreciate the DK's. Jon definitely hit the nail on the head. Got some Biafra influence in it and I like it. How would one go about purchasing a CD if one were possibly interested (even tho' one may be on a Duran Duran kick right now and feels weird about it and listening to some intelligent punk would make one feel weirder about it because one would realize how weird the 80's were. BTW, did Duran Duran ever use a SR in the studio because this would make one feel less weird about listening to Duran Duran because one would realize there was some normality in their choice of instruments which would reflect in some normality in their music?)

thanks buddy ... if you wanna buy the CD you can go to http://www.victim-nation.com/ and click on the big "buy the cd" image in the left.

Duran Duran RULES!!!! definately a punk rock guy now but my first tape ever was a Duran Duran mix my cousin made for me and i still definately love those guys. I think i have read that the dude in Duran Duran used a Stingray, but i dunno for sure. There's a Duran Duran tribute album out there somewhere too ... punk, ska and rock bands doing some classics. Honestly, most of it sucks but the Deftones version of Chaufer is GREAT!!!

Good stuff phatduckk, real cool to see a punk band that acctually sounds, well punk! I really dig the beginning of Vigilante, I'm sure thats a great song to start off a gig. Keep up the good stuff and I hope to hear you on some new recordings soon.

PS. Duran Duran is Fu%^in awesome

Ordered

You bandmates might wonder what kind of people you associate with. The comments I left might seem a bit odd.

As to Duran Duran, some of the basslines actually amaze me. Pretty groovin' stuff. Just that whole 80's scene leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Was busy listening the the Beatles, Yes, The Who, DKs, The Police, etc. during that time period 'cuz pop seemed so lame at the time.

Hey Arin, i'm about to download the songs and put them on a CD so i can listen to them in my car which is my favorite way to listen to new music.I'l l put up a review when i've had the songs in my head for a few days. What i've heard so far sounds like good honest punk rock ala the Adoelscents, The Faction and early S.D. Keep up the good work :)

thanks guys! :)

FYI: dont bother posting reviews. the stupid site that hosts the review "randomly" picks what reviews to post and which to not bother posting :( thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard of. Thanks to everyone who did a review; i really appreiciate it and im super sorry the idiots that run the site have "decided" to not push them live :(

nice work man! listened to Vigilante and Bitter Pop Song - nice bass lines

although, it's probably its just me, but i think your bass tone needs a little more "beef" - but that's IMO, and good tone is purely subjective :)

Ya as afar as tone goes i kind stick on the brighter side nowadays. I dunno ... im always stoked with my tone then change it etc. Hopefully ill get famous some day and have a tech and i can say stuff like "ummm, dial me in to sound like xxx on yyy CD".
