Don't worry Larry, I will get some smoked salmon together here to send down to you in exchange for some other fine sauce but a friend of mine just came back from Austin with 2 bottles of Rudy's BBQ sauce so I cooked me up some pulled pork. Great stuff even for a franchised outfit. :D

anywho, I got it yesterday and bottle 2 won't make to the end of the month hehehehehhe

If I didn't know Texas I would have thought you were doing some moonshinin.

Oh, Petey, the sauce is only half the story.

Rudy's is the ultimate in BBQ, Texas or otherwise.

Brisket so moist and tasty. Sausage? Get out. I am the king of sausage on the grill, but still.......Rudy's kicks my butt. Their turkey is unbleebable. Even the damned chicken!

But the kicker is the creamed corn. I swear, the stuff must have crack in it or something. I don't even LIKE corn that much, but this is different.

When I lived in San Antonio, we ate at Rudy's at least four or five times a month. Then we moved to Dallas and I was very sad. After about a year, during which I often complained about the local BBQ joints, Erika was coming home and called me from her cell and said, "Want some Rudy's?"

Turns out there is a Rudy's about ten minutes from here. I said, "Sure, why not?"

Rudy's.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Never thought I would be doing this on a Musicman forum but here's my own BBQ sauce recipe. It took me over a year to get it just right. Enjoy!

Hey Pete! Pertty cool opener. Had some trouble with Safari but Firefox seemed to work fine.

What I know about Texas? Every dang one of them texans with his own reciepe and likes to cook throws one heck of a BBQ.

In Kansas we just mostly go for whatever is getting cooked as long as the beer is good.

A friend of mine had a short role in a recent Mike's Hard Lemonade commercial that was shot at the Salt Lick. Actually he's just eating away and grunting, but they paid him $1500 bucks for his troubles; maybe I need to look into bit parts? :p
