OT: Shops in NYC

I'm heading to New York City for a day trip and would love to check out some great music stores. People who live there or know their way around: any advice? Maybe a shop that has a great MusicMan stock, or lots of good deals/used gear? I'd especially like to try out some great amps, since I'm in the market (trying to find an F 50)!

thats easy. head to 48th street. I think between 6th and 7th ave. There are a few music shops there. Sam Ash, Manny's etc. It's kind of like the "Guitar District" of NYC.
