...and the Sterling KILLED!! I know I'm preaching to the choir, blah, blah, blah....

The blue pearl Sterling H/ maple neck that I got from Lisa (and almost sold- glad THAT didn't work out!!) was kickin' through my SWR 4x10 Goliath III and my old GK 800RB. I let the band's bassist that played just before us use my rig with his bass (a Yamaha 5) and he couldn't get over the sound. I love that amp/cab combo but I digress...)

They asked me to step in with the Sterling on their last song so their bassist could play keys and everyone just turned with their jaws open when we kicked into the tune. Fat and punchy baby! :D

The group I played with after that had an entire set and the Sterling was a force to be reckoned with. Everyone could hear it clearly on stage, and it certainly didn't get lost out front. The light weight was an added bonus. Now if this amazing bass could just protect me from sunburn it would be the "perfect bass".... my melon is SEARED!! LOL!

I *almost* went with my '75 F*nder P for this one.... glad I didn't!! :D :D :D

I have some pics I'll try and get them posted later.

Shoot Lisa... this thing's so cool I feel like I need to send you another paynment or something........

Single humbucker is where it's at. So very versatile!

I got my Sterling today, after three weeks of waiting for its setup to be completed, and as I was playing it, I couldn't believe some of the sounds I got out of it. Such an amazing instrument. My next bass will be another Sterling, maybe with a maple fretboard.
