I just picked up my second Petrucci last Friday...a 7-string this time. I had owned the 6-string version for about a year and the 7 plays/sound just as incredibe as the 6 does. My only question is in regard to the contact the high E makes to the fret. As you look at the frets, they taper off at a slope near each edge. My high e when fretted hits "very" close to the beginning of that tapering. This causes the string to occaisionally slide off the edge of the fret if you aren't precise.

This isn't a huge problem, but I wondered if others have noticed this. I do not have this issue on the six. Being that my 7-string was a custom order from the factory, I haven't had a chance to play any other 7's. I appreciate any feedback you might have.
