pickguard on ray

on rays ...

any of you tried to take off the pickguard completely?
does it look good?

cause i took my fender standard's pickguard off
and there're a couple of holes and dirty spots

what do you think?

If you will look around at some of the basses on e-bay or Bass Central, you will notice that some of them have clear pickguards. I guess it would look ok without a p/g, but you could do a lot of damage to the finish.

i dont think nobody gonna took the pickguard off from 1300 bass, besides it will damage the finish in the future, it will look ugly IMO

If you play with your fingers you're not likely to do any damage to the finish if you remove the PG
