hi

on SR5

3-way lever pickup selector (position 1 is closest to neck)
1 - both coils, series mode
2 - single coil
3 - both coils, parallel mode

what does series and parallel do to the tone?

one 2 - single coil, does that mean 1 pickup? or 2 pickups?

thanks

1. P-Bass type tone
2. J-Bass type tone
3. Stingray tone

Interesting. No wonder I like position 3 best of all for most playing!:)

yeap

2 questions now =)
1. which is the one call Phantom Coil? i mean which switch does that?

2. i like the 3 tone, but it sound kindy bright to my liking, when you use the third selector (rightmost) how's your eq on the bass??

thanks

i think the middle possition (2) uses the phantom coil, the phantom coil is a single coil pickup underneith the humbucker..i learned this the hard way haha

haha no prob...i use the 3rd switch too, and i usualy just have all my eq settings on 10, but it realy depends how your eq is set on your amp.
