so after my 1st thread, i realize i need a power amp, since im not gonna suck it up and just buy a higher wattage ampeg, what kind of power amp should i get?

well you have to decide two things. 1)how much more wattage you want to added, and 2) how much money you want to spend. after you figure that out then you can start reading the reviews of the amps you are interested in. im not sure how you would test a power amp at a store they are usually away in the pa section.

One of the best that I've seen is the QSC PLX series. User friendly, and both speakon and banana outputs, with XLR and 1/4" inputs.

I'd say that you should go for the Mackie FR series M800 or M1400 OR.......if you have the balls(and definitely the earplugs), go for the M2600(!!!!)

They are loud, clear, no clipping at all, etc etc. The problem is that you should get enough cabs to handle them and unless you don't play steadily at 'stadium' volumes, you won't need that much power.
