Hey folks,
So i love the sound of my Sterling, but I'm looking to get more of a Bob Weston (Shellac) sound. I've heard he use a Traynor head as a pre, and drives his cabs with a poweramp. Has anyone done this? I can't figure out the best way to do it.
 
I use and Ampeg SVP-Pro pre amp and then an Ampeg SVP 1600 power amp. It sounds great... plus I can get any other kind of pre amp and run it through the SVP 1600. I love the tubed sound, it's so great.
