Yer welcome! That one looked like a beauty--at a really good price. I just picked up a burst 79 Sabre fretted--lots of mojo but all original except for a refret. Still, I'd like a black/black/maple one day...

I just sold a burst '79 fretted - where did you get yours?

I have a spare '80 rosewood fretted Sabre neck I'll be putting on this one. Then I can put that fretless maple neck on one of my Stingrays (unless of course it just sounds incredible on the Sabre).

I got mine at a GC in the San Fernando Valley. It's on "police hold" till the end of the month, so no pics yet. It had a "modified" white PG (ie, cut to look like a 'ray) and it's got either a bent or a rusted G string tuning machine, but other than that it's rilly nice, if a bit heavy. (I have a natural 79 Sabre that's a lot lighter than this one.) I've ordered a b/w/b guard from Bryan Boots and I'll get the tuner fixed/replaced. I got it for a ridiculously low price...but I want to wait till I have it fixed up and a pic posted before I say how much...Don't want to jinx it.

Ah, that neck sounds like it'll make an excellent combo. Still, it would be cool to hear what that Sabre sounds like fretless. I've never played a FL Sabre...

Post a pic of it with the rosewood board when you have it together...I'd love to see it.
