Here is the fun part... when I won the initial green Bongo H, I needed to get a bass to let it sit - so I ended up with the RRed Ltd HH. Nice bass, but still not an H (H players know what I mean)... so I am going to order a new Bongo H so Kermit can take a break - a Black one - another Ltd.

Well I can honestly say I tried. I contacted almost every shop in the US that was showing stock on Bongo 4H's. I made offers on a few (and delt with some true asshats) but when all was said and done, I had to follow BP's advice and get a Limited. After all, who am I to turn down his words of wisdom:D

The traffic lights might be broken up but before too much longer I will have the all LIMITED collection (too bad Kermit doesn't have a Limited neck plate).

Didn't say I had ALL of them.. but they are all Ltds:p (I really wanted a BC H but didn't have the funds while the order window was open)

Hey, I actually tried for a real set of traffic lights (by trying to get a Medallion Gold H) but the sales guy was one of the 2 true asshats (and I tried to work the sale but he wouldn't budge).

The sales process was VERY eye opening. Most of the dealers I spoke with were clueless about Bongos BUT were polite and decent to deal with. A few were very nice AND knowledgeable but didn't have what I wanted or couldn't deal. Then there were the 2 HATS!!! Won't go into details but they were why I hate shopping.

In the end I did what I told myself to do in the beginning (but didn't listen) - I ordered from Jack and am happy with product (ordered) and the deal received. Could I do better, maybe, but Steve and Jack made a fair offer that I believe we can all live with.

I can't help you with a bongo but I do know where there is still a BC SR4 H.

That is an allusive answer, but Jack does know where I am talking about.


But I do know the Bongo H in either 4 or 5 String is awesome. But you know what?

The Bongo H in white is more special than any BC prouduced IMHO. And I get a chance at a Bongo 5 H in white I am on it even if it means a divorce.
