Q. re: Luke on ebay

I'm currently looking at a new luke on ebay. The seller contacted me to inform me that he was unaware of Luke's bridge set-up preference (45 degree angle off the body). He installed an extra (3rd) spring.
I didn't ask him, but does anyone know if that would void the warranty?
How about affecting the sound?
I would actually prefer a non-floating trem, so the mod is fine with me.
Just a few questions before I enter the bidding war.

It comes from the factory set up to Luke's preferences i.e. floating trem. Adding the spring to remove the float won't void your warranty unless you install it with a sledge hammer.

My new Luke with piezo (in buttercream of course) is setup with three springs and flush to the top. There's even a small piece of felt attached to the underside of the tremolo to protect the top. I've heard that the piezo models are setup flush.

However, my SM-Y2D (with the Floyd Rose) was setup slightly floating.
