Q. re: Piezo on 20th Ann. Silo

Does the piezo option on the 20th Ann. Silo cut into the mahogony tone block or the alder part of the body? I only ask because I know the piezo option requires some extra routing of the body.

I think that's a good question. I have yet to see a picture of the Mahog tone block on one of these so again I don't know. All I know is that the shape of the mahog block looks something like the bottle of a popular brand of vodka.

No, but seriously, I think that is a fair question. I only ask because I, like so many others (SEE POLL post), are unable to decide what to get. I mean, ideally, I'd get all of the EBs (except maybe the AL), but I have to start somewhere, right?
Since my money doesn't grow on trees AND I'm married (which means Preauthorization is required ), I'd like my first EB purchase to be a great one (didn't say good, because they would all be undoubtedly good).
Perhaps if it does cut into the mahogony, it would be insignificant, but inquiring minds want to know, nonetheless.

Dude, what's wrong with the AL, it's a very under rated guitar. The shape, it's Jetsons'ish in it's stylings. They are well balanced and are as comfortable as an old pair of shoes.

I have nothing against the AL, it's just not a shape I'd personally feel comfortable playing. I'm sure it sounds and plays good.
How about someone answering the question about the piezo and the mahogany tone block. Anyone?

I think that will involve someone from the factory providing pictures. The protos that I saw were before the tone block was in.

All neck mounting, pickup mounting, and bridge mounting hardware are securely routed and/or assembled to/through the mahogany tone core. This includes standard, piezo, hardtail, and tremolo bridges.

I haven't played one yet, but I've seen & heard the JP hybrid up close and in person and it was unreal.

The first 3 are scheduled for late June, early July, so they should roll through in a few weeks if all goes well.

I don't mind waiting a bit longer if necessary, these guitars are going to be amazing.
