Question About EBMM Cases...

As many of you know, I got my Luke yesterday. I noticed that the case has a barcode sticker on it. Should the number on the barcode on the case match that on the guitar?

The barcode on your case should end in 15983_4

"5983" is the part number for a 6 string guitar case.

"5979" is the part number for a 7 string JP, etc.

EB probably has the barcode on there for inventory control, because the exterior dimensions are the same even though the insides are set up differently. That way they don't need to open every case each time they want to check how many of what kind they have.

It does end in 15983_4. Thanks. It's exactly the same as the one that came with my Petrucci. The new one however was a bit bit on one edge (the aluminum rim). It was easy to straighten.
