Hi Jon

What is the paint that is used on the Bongo neck? I find it beautifully smooth and fast and superior to other neck finishes. I wondered what was special, if anything, about it.

No it's a really nice matt paint finish.

I really dig the paint too. I thought I might have trouble with my hand sticking to the neck, but its silky smooth and very fast.

It is Sherwin/Williams conversion varnish...It's also used as furniture paint.
