I was curious if anybody knows if it would be ok to put 13's tuned up to standard "A" 440 tuning on a JP? I probably won't go that high but I definitely want to at least put 11's on there. I don't know if that would put too much stress on the neck though? The 10's I have on right now just feel like rubber bands to me and I pick very hard. Alot like Al Di Meola.

I use 10-52s and have had no problems, although, I did NOT put another spring in the trem cavity, so I had to move the claw screws almost in as far as they can go. If I were going with 11s, I'd put in at least another spring.

Good luck.

im not 100% sure but doesnt the JP6 come setup with 10s just something i thought i heard

It does, which is why I didn't have to do any filing at the nut going to the 10-52s and I would doubt you would need any nut work just going up one full gauge, but any more than that........
